Hand-held radiation survey meters, and general-purpose Geiger counters

Portable Geiger-type radiation monitors used for a wide range of radiation measurement applications; used to measure radiation levels, quantify surface contamination, detect X-ray leakage, warn of elevated radiation levels, conduct contamination surveys, etc.

PM1405 General purpose survey meter

 Used for a wide range of radiation monitoring applications, including measurement of ambient gamma radiation, X-ray leak detection, search and measurement of radioactive contamination, and specific measurement of surface contamination by beta emitters. The monitor has a movable screen, to enable discrimination between gamma, and beta/alpha radiation; with the screen inplace, the monitor acts as a compensated Geiger monitor for gamma radiation dose measurement, while uncovering the screen allows the monitor to measure lower energy X-ray and gamma radiation, and alpha/beta radiation. The instrument activates an alarm if radiation levels exceed a pre-set threshold. The PM1405 is supplied with software and USB and cable to enable real-time visualization of radiation level on a PC, change instrument configuration, and retrieve data stored in the instrument's memory.


Inspector Hand-held radiation detector

 Used for a wide range of radiation detection applications, including search and detection of radioactive materials, X-ray leak detection, radioactive contamination surveys (also suitable for measurement surface contamination by alpha and beta emitters). The Inspector is a Geiger-Müller detector incorporating a large-area 45 mm diameter pancake-geometry Geiger tube with mica window, sensitive to alpha, beta, gamma radiation and X-rays (down de 10 keV). The instrument activates an alarm if radiation levels exceed a pre-set threshold. The large digital display can be switched between count rate and dose rate modes. As an optional extra, the Inspector can be supplied with a software package (Observer software) and communications cable to enable real-time visualization of count rate data on a PC, together with data storage and statistical manipulation. Also available with a 70 mm diameter external Geiger probe (Inspector EXP model) instead of an internal G-M tube. Instrument supplied may be either Inspector+ or Inspector Alert versions depending on current inventory (the versions are exactly equivalent in all respects, except that the Inspector Alert version features a monochrome, rather than blue/yellow, front panel).


RadAlert100 Hand-held radiation detector

RadAlert100 Hand-held radiation detector A popular, reliable and easy-to-use general purpose radiation detector incorporating a cylindrical-geometry Geiger tube with mica window, sensitive to alpha, beta, gamma and X-radiation. The instrument activates an alarm when radiation levels exceed a pre-set threshold. The large digital display can be switched between count rate and dose rate modes. The LCD shows readings in microsieverts per hour from .01 to 1100 or counts per second (cps) from 0 to 3,500 (the display can be switched to read milliroentgens per hour from .001 to 110 or counts per minute (cpm) from 0 to 350,000.) A submini jack provides audio output to an external earpiece or amplifier. As an optional extra, the RadAlert100 can be supplied with a software package and communications cable to enable real-time visualization of count rate data on a PC, together with data storage and statistical manipulation. Dose rate reading updated every 3 seconds. Features timer function to accumulate counts within a set time period.

RAD100 Hand-held radiation detector A general purpose radiation detector sensitive to alpha, beta, gamma and X-radiation based on the Radalert100 but without the alarm function. The large digital display can be switched between count rate and dose rate modes. The LCD shows readings in microsieverts per hour from .01 to 1100 or counts per second (cps) from 0 to 3,500 (the display can be switched to read milliroentgens per hour from .001 to 110 or counts per minute (cpm) from 0 to 350,000.) PM1912 RadFlashII USB Gamma detector

PM1912 RadflashII USB gamma radiation detector The PM1912 RadFlash®II is a unique radiation detector/dosimeter designed in the form of USB flash drive and supplied with a geographical networked software package. The software supplied with the device transmits radiation background measurements into a global system of radiation monitoring called Flash Radiation Monitor and displays them in Google Maps. Each user has access to geographic information system of all RadFlash II devices to monitor the global radiation environment. The PM1912 RadFlash II can be operated in 2 modes, Autonomous operation mode and PC connection mode. In Autonomous mode, the PM1912 continuously measures ambient Dose Equivalent (DE) and ambient Dose Equivalent Rate (DER), and when dose or doserate thresholds are exceeded, the device activates an alarm. The detector also automatically records radiation levels (up to 500 DE and DER measurements). In PC connection mode, the PM1912 is connected to a USB port of a PC or laptop, and gives instantaneous dose (DE) and doserate (DER) measurements on the computer screen, measurement history and access to the radiological geo information system. The PM1912 RadFlash II is powered by a built-in long lasting rechargeable battery, with a lifetime between charges up to 500 hours. Charging is carried out via USB.


Terra-P Compact Geiger counter

Terra-P geiger counter A lightweight, low-cost, compact Geiger counter designed primarily for public use. With a two-button operation, and LCD screen, the Terra-P allows the non-expert user to quickly and easily asses ambient radiation levels in their immediate environment. Measures gamma and beta radiation, its small size (120x52x26mm, 150g), about the size of a thick mobile telephone, means that the meter can be carried unobtrusively. Has a user-configurable alarm, and emits clicks proportional to radiation counts when in "dose rate" mode, displaying the radiation level in microsieverts per hour (0.1 – 999.9 µSv/h) . Also measures accumulated dose in millisieverts. Has "sleep mode" operation, in which the display shuts down to conserve battery life, (2 x AAA) while the detector and alarm remain active, to warn the user should radiation levels rise.
The Terra-P is also available in versions with a wider DER measurement range, with bluetooth communication capability, and with internal memory (1200 data points).


PM1208M Wristwatch gamma monitor

 A personal Geiger-Muller radiation detector built into a stainless steel wristwatch with a 100m water resistant case. Allows continuous monitoring of radiation levels; the ambient dose rate, accumulated dose and dose accumulation time can be displayed on a backlit LCD in both analog and digital form. An audible alarm is activated if a threshold radiation level preset by the user is exceeded. The Swiss-made (Ronda 763) quartz clock movement features analog and digital time display, alarm and digital calendar functions. The CR2032 battery gives one year of continuous radiation detector operation, clock functions with separate battery. Based on the popular PM1208 wristwatch radiation detector, the new PM1208M version is able to record and store data for up to 500 events in the instrument's non-volatile memory. T he PM1208M is also equipped with an infrared-channel allowing communication between the watch and a PC. The user can also program the instrument's settings by using the special PC software provided. Additionally, the user can transfer operational data from instruments' memory to a PC for further data processing and analysis.
