Instruments for measuring exposures to low-frequency electric and magnetic fields
We supply a range of instruments for measurement of Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) electric and magnetic fields, for both professional and private use.
Teslameters (also known as Gaussmeters) measure AC magnetic field strength in terms of magnetic flux density, express in unit of microTesla, nanoTesla or milliGauss (see below for conversion factors). Electric field meters measure AC electric field strength in volts per metre (V/m).
ME 3951A Electromagnetic field meter
The ME 3951A (manufacturer: Gigahertz Solutions) is designed for professional measurement of electric and magnetic field intensity (magnetic component measured in nanoTesla, electric component in Volts/meter). The meter also features a switchable audio signal to provide a series of audible clicks in proportion to field intensity. An easy-to-use meter with rechargable battery suitable for measurement of electric and magnetic fields generated by transformer, electrical equipment, power lines, etc., by occupational health specialists, engineers, and private individuals. Accessories include a hard carrying case, battery charger, and grounding lead.
