Radiansa provides a complete evaluation of low-frequency electromagnetic field levels in your building or installation, not only in the context of current local legislation and ICNIRP recommendations, but in a wider context including possible long-term risks associated with exposures to electromagnetic fields at relatively low levels.

Exposure limits for the public in most countries, where they exist, are based on the recommendations of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). While ICNIRP levels reflect the current scientific position on the subject of human exposure to low-frequency electric and magnetic radiation, there is still room for doubt regarding long term effects to low levels of electromagnetic radiation. In particular, a statistical link between low-level magnetic field exposure and childhood leukemia suggests a precautionary approach should be adopted regarding exposures to the general public, and specifically pregnant women and children. The adoption of a precautionary approach in the light of this doubt is entirely reasonable.

An further example of where current interpretations of ICNIRP exposure limits to electromagnetic radiation have been shown to be inadequate is the occurrence of the disorder known as Lipoatrophia Semicircularis, predominately in office workers (see our section on occupational health). Electric fields responsible for this condition occur at around 5 times less than ICNIRP recommendations for public exposure.
