Radon testing in soil
and water samples

We carry out radon tests on plots and land to determine the likelihood that a future building may present elevated radon levels before construction. In addition, we measure radon levels in water samples.

Radon tests in soil according to ISO 11665-7

Radon gas levels in a building depend largely on the amount of radon emitted by the soil, or the soil’s radon exhalation rate.

Measuring the radon exhalation rate provides information about the level of risk that the building may present elevated radon levels.

In new construction projects located in municipalities identified as “Zone 2” according to the DB HS-6 regulations of the CTE, measuring the radon exhalation rate indicates the degree and type of corrective actions to be taken in the project.

We offer radon exhalation measurements from the surface, performed in accordance with UNE-EN ISO 11665-7.

Radon tests in water

Radiansa radon laboratory

In some cases, for example if the house has a well, radon gas can enter the building through the water supply.

We provide the client with two small glass bottles (68 ml) in the morning through a courier service; the client must fill the bottles with the water to be analysed and return the samples the same day by courier (we arrange the collection). The following day, the samples arrive at our laboratory for analysis.

As an option, a radon-in-water measurement can be requested together with a radon-in-air measurement of the building.
